call for residency:

This call is open to activists, artists, workers, theoreticians – basically everyone who can explain us his or her need for a productive stay in Vienna. You don’t need to correspond to the goals of our subjects, which you can read here: http://boem.postism.org/about/

rather be willing and able to explain your practice in public events and discussions. What we can offer is our 100m2 gallery space, our expertise with the local context or text; your AiR – flat with everything you need to survive, and our closed bar – can as well serve as infrastructure and host various activities, and we offer our support and expertise with visa applications.

The BOEM is a cultural project and center which operates along the axis of the everyday lives of migrants and workers. It develops an artistic practice, which is informed by questions of racism, emancipatoric struggles and exclusions. It understands itself as a participatory space and develops a narrative, where workers and migrants can particpate as „prosumers“.
